Lineare palm

Lineare palm aka ptychosperma linear

It grows in a clustering manner and produces beautiful green stalks. It is said that it can reach 10 to 15 feet tall at maturity. Its leaves are narrow with jagged tips. Native to New Guinea. Said to be a graceful - clustering grower. Makes a wonderful specimen or focal point addition to any landscape. Tall and slender grower. Easy and fast-growing palm. New to the area. Use indoors on a deck or patio and great in a container. Has a moderate growth rate and is said to be evergreen. Cold Hardy Zone 10. Seems to do well in 9B. Drought tolerance is high but like most plants prefers a regular watering schedule. Low tolerant to aerosol salt so along the coast put in a protected area. Likes well-draining soil. No information on it being pet-toxic, however most palms are not toxic to pets. Fertilize in the spring, summer, and fall with a good granular slow-release palm fertilizer. Remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions for application.
