Varigated Primerose aka Asystasia Gangetica aka Ganges Primrose aka Chinese Violet
This variegated beauty is considered to be a tender perennial that will sprawl out and look just like a large petunia plant. Brightly colored variegated foliage that will bloom on and off nearly all year long in a container or landscape. It's considered to be an easy to grow and easy maintenance plant. It produces an amazing lavender trumpet flower in a sort of spike-like cluster along with a soft buttery yellow and green variegated foliage. Also considered a natural evergreen (in frost-free climates) - so in a mild winter, it will last and bloom all year long. Cold hardy zone 9. Moderately salt tolerant. Said to be somewhat drought tolerant once established but prefers a regular watering schedule. They said somewhat deer resistant. They will reach 8 to 12 inches tall with a spread of 24 to 36 inches at maturity. They are a beautiful groundcover that will give you many additional colors in your landscape. You can use it as a border plant or along a walkway or driveway. You can even grow them in containers and they will cascade over the sides. Bring your containers indoors during our cold snaps or use as spash of color indoors (just keep out of the breeze of your ac/heat ducks. It's a versatile and beautiful plant. Butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds also are attracted to these beauties. They like a full sun to partial shade location in the landscape. Indoors they like a direct sunlight spot. Fertilize in the spring, summer and fall with a good slow-release granular fertilizer. Remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions for application.
